Penelope endures the struggle of waiting for the return of her ​husband Odysseus. Surrounded by persistent suitors, she grapples ​with the pressure to choose a new spouse while using clever tactics, ​like weaving and unweaving a burial shroud, to delay the decision.

Her internal conflict reflects the emotional toll of the prolonged ​separation, symbolizing the challenges faced by those left behind.

Penelope's story is a poignant exploration of endurance, capturing the ​complexities of a woman’s love in the face of adversity and the inner ​journey she undertakes a result of her decisions.

Producer and soprano Heather Fetrow creates collaborative, cutting-edge performances and educational experiences that inspire audiences to progress the opportunities of women musicians.

FRANCES

RABALAIS

Frances Rabalais is a Stage Director of opera based in Houston, Texas. She is known for her engrossing, evocative productions of contemporary pieces as well as the standard repertoire. Frances has directed for Pittsburgh Opera, North Carolina Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Fort Wayne Symphony, New Orleans Opera, among others.

FETROW

Katy Fetrow is an art director, scenic designer and interior designer who currently resides in Brooklyn, New York where she is an active member of IATSE 829.

Regina Aquino

Regina Aquino is a Actor, producer, ​director, and the founder of Origin ​Stories Productions. Born in MD and ​raised between homes in Manila, her first ​professional theatrical production was in ​Manila in 2000. She has performed on ​nearly all of DC’s stages and at Lincoln ​Center in NYC. Nominated for multiple ​Helen Hayes Awards, in 2019 she earned ​the Outstanding Lead Performer in a ​Play Award for her work in THE ​EVENTS at Theater Alliance.

MILA

HENRY

Mila Henry is a conductor, pianist and music director who maintains a versatile career, leading works spanning folk operas to rock musicals to reimagined classics.

CECILIA

LIVINGSTON

Cecilia Livingston specializes in music for voice. Her music is driven by melody, mixing styles from minimalism to The American Songbook to create work that is lyrical and unsettling.
